I am a fly fisherman and think the idea of it being water proof was an good idea because i fish in the rain at times. I put it under the shower and all the water just rolls right off the hat. This is my best looking bucket hat and best fitting one. I did not think the one size fits all thing would really work being made out of this type of material but it ended up being my best fitting bucket hat. I like the hat so much I have been wairing it to work and around i think it looks cool and ended up buying the black and another this color as back ups. I would recommend this for anyone going out in the rain and its a good fishing hat. Its really light for a bucket hat and looks better than most all bucket hats so around town its good for as well for me. Got nothing bad to say about this hat ...!I was upset buying the bucket rain hat, so I bought this hat and It looks like a good hat.
