I like the hat - it looks ok, provides great sun protection, it's black so it matches a lot of my outfits and it folds easily. However, it wrinkles easily and stays wrinkled because it is impossible to get the wrinkles out with an iron. I wish it were made out of some wrinkle free polyester mix instead of cotton. I don't wear it as frequently as I would otherwise since it looks sloppy due to it being wrinkled all the time. But it's a great hat to have in your bag just in case you're going somewhere you don't want to carry a hat when you're indoors but want a hat when you step back outdoors. I have another black fabric (57% polyester, rest cotton) hat with a much shorter fabric brim which doesn't get wrinkled at all but the shorter brim doesn't protect me as well - that would be the perfect material for this hat. I have a fairly big head (wear a size large helmet) but this hat is a little large even for me. Also, wish it came with a string to keep it attached to my head since it's so large it flies off easily with the smallest breeze. Also, the area for your head is a little too deep - it should be a little more shallow.I needed a good sun protection hat, and this would have been great, but with the sides extended down, I could not even see. It is cut very long, and on, looks nothing like it looks on the model. The top of the hat is probably not sitting on her head, when photographed, unless her head is long and large. For it to fit comfortably, I pulled it down to rest on my head, and the brim was past my nose. Even though it states it is clearly adjustable inside, with a chin strap to hold it in place, on me, it covered half my face. It is shaped like a large long bucket. I should have read the reviews first. I folded the top back and up to see how it would look. Yes it will block out everything, but was overwhelming for my size head, which is 21 1/2". If you have a large head, it may be great for you. It’s long and very large, covers your eyes, and I was asked to revise my review which says everything about the sellers moral ethics. If you have a big head, long and tall. It may be great . Photos misleading, not sitting on crown. Doesn’t stay up. Doesn’t tighten for a smallHead, and floppy so brim falls down. Cannot see. It is not as described with no measurements. It may be great for you if you are big and long-in your head size it don’t go by the model. I was asked to change my review which is unethical.Really attractive and reversable! Fits well and comes with tie strings you you can hook in on other side. Major problem is hooks are super small hard plastic that don't open well and it took me 10 minutes to finally be able to keep clip open to slide it thru the tight loop. I could see them breaking if one kept switching them to use reversable side.If manufacturer provided a larger more pliable hook, it would work much better. I won't be wearing hat on reverse (white leaf) side as too hard to switch hooks and plastic is too brittle it will break if keep pressing down to open it. I look better in pink anyway. Cool how the white leafed pattern shows on the underside. ; )I always wear a hat due to sun-sensitive eyes, and also to protect my skin. I buy hats all the time, and sometimes find after I own them that they aren't quite right for me.With this hat, I bought one khaki to check the fit. LOVED it. Bought two more khaki, one white, and one black. After another month of wearing it every day, I realized this hat works with every casual outfit I have, better than anything I have owned for years. It looked great with my long hair. I just got my hair cut super-short and it looks good with almost no hair, too. So to ensure I will have this hat to wear for years to come, I just bought 2 more. I now have 5 of these in khaki, the most versatile of the colors. I did also invest in Scotchgard and sprayed them to keep them cleaner longer, so for me it made the hat a little more expensive, but well worth the investment.It is true the hat will probably not stay on in high wind, but I had no trouble making a snug fit by tying a square knot in the internal ties.Also, be aware, all the hats I have of this brand have the internal sweat band in a blue and white fabric, so that shows when I put the hats on. I wish the sweat bands matched the hat color for a more seamless look. This is my only complaint.I live in Florida so I need a really good sun hat and this is it. Finally, I have found a hat with a wide brim that has enough stiffness and weight that it won't blow up when it's windy. I also like that it's made out of cotton and therefore doesn't irritate the skin on my forehead. It has a really cool "stiffening ring in the brim that you can bend to adjust. The only negative thing I can say is that, because the brim is so wide, my vision is limited at times. However, I can definitely deal with the limited vision problem.I sewed the top of hat to give it a more breakfast at Tiffany's vibe, otherwise the head depth was too much. I love the wire in the brim. And after sewing. It is truly more like a 50s bucket hat. Sewed a little velvet ribbon around it too.I have many hats because I burn easily, and need to protect my skin from the sun. This is one of my favorite hats ever. The material is a little higher quality, I think, than the linen-like weave of a Scala hat (I have several). The brim is big enough to keep the sun off, but the brim can be worn several different ways to make it more stylish and to accommodate better vision than when it is worn all turned down. I have a fairly small head, but I like my hats to be quite roomy because I don't want my head to get hot or to give me too much "hat hair" when I take it off. It does have a drawstring inside that can adjust the hat quite a lot. It does not have a chin strap, which I kind of wish it did, to keep it on during windy days. This is a great hat! I love the styling of it, and it is very effective against the sun. I love all the colors, and plan to order more of these hats in my favorite colors. Thank you to the manufacturer for a wonderful product at a decent price.Just ok
